Prices & Conditions

At Khaya Hanci, we offer a truly unique experience working with rescue horses in the heart of South Africa. Our program runs from a minimum stay of 4 weeks to a maximum of 12 weeks for first-time volunteers.

Prices & Conditions
Minimum stay: 4 weeks
Maximum stay: 12 weeks 
Returning volunteers ("repeat offenders") are welcome to join us again for shorter stays!

The daily rate includes:

All horse-related activities (rides, trails, groundwork, training)
Accommodation in our volunteer house
Shared groceries for self-catering
Wi-Fi and use of the washing machine
Airport transfer from Hoedspruit Airport to the farm and back


Arrival and departure days:
We offer transfers on Mondays and Thursdays.
For arrivals or departures outside these days, an additional transfer fee of 1,000 ZAR per trip applies.

Prices are per person and quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).
International transfers, travel insurance (including horseback riding), and personal expenses are not included.
